A tragic incident has unfolded in West London, leaving a community in shock and a family devastated. A young life cut short, a future stolen.
On January 12th, Metropolitan Police officers responded to a distressing call on Victoria Road, Feltham. They discovered 18-year-old Maliki Sharma, a promising young man with multiple stab wounds. Despite their efforts, Maliki succumbed to his injuries, leaving his family and friends in grief.
The investigation led to the arrest of three teenagers, including a 16-year-old boy from Hounslow, who has now been charged with murder. Due to his age, we cannot reveal his identity, but he appeared in court and will face further proceedings at the Old Bailey.
Maliki's family described him as a "lovely boy" with a bright future ahead. He was close to his mother and brother, and his dreams included becoming an electrician and starting his own business to support his family. A friend shared, "He was cheeky, funny, and had a heart of gold."
But here's where it gets controversial... Two other 16-year-olds, also from Hounslow, were charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. And this is the part most people miss: a 19-year-old, Rhys Huskinson, was initially charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon but later, the charges were amended to attempted grievous bodily harm.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, leading the investigation, expressed his condolences and acknowledged the community's distress. He assured residents of an increased police presence in the coming days.
