Emma Quigley and Jeffrey Smolens' wedding in Rhode Island was a unique affair, with the bride donning a dress inspired by a 'pretty marsh creature'. The couple's love story began in New York City, where they met on Hinge and discovered they had 'invisible strings' connecting them throughout their lives. After moving to Darien, Connecticut, they fell in love with the Eastern coastline and decided to host their wedding at the Weekapaug Inn in Westerly, Rhode Island. Emma, who also served as the wedding planner, wanted to create a modern heirloom approach to celebration, with every element crafted in collaboration with independent makers. The aesthetic of the weekend leaned into their coastal surroundings, complete with shell motifs and organic wave-like design elements. The bride's coastal-inspired looks included an ivory Lesea Berry dress for a bridal shower luncheon at Ocean House, a 1930s sheer trumpet gown with dahlia-inspired details, and a customized version of Danielle Frankel's oceanic Alexandra dress for her wedding gown. For the final hours of the night, Emma donned a custom Clio Peppiatt mini dress, inspired by Taylor Swift's 2025 Grammy's look. The couple's wedding was a true labor of love, with every detail carefully crafted to create a unique and memorable experience for their guests.
